We present a home-style version of a drink found on a new cocktail list. This is a batch prepared mix that's loaded with the essence associated with festive period, rendering it ideal for hosting a celebration. Reserve the remaining syrup for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to make another batch of bikinis.

Makes enough for 10 guests
To make the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (yields 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
For the Cordial: Combine the listed components into a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating to dissolve. Next, take off the stove and leave to reach room temperature completely. Transfer to a sterilised bottle, close it keeping it in the fridge, it can be stored for around one month.
To make Batch Mix: Mix all the liquids into one sizeable container, allow it to infuse for an hour, then pass it through best through muslin, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
For serving: Add 85ml from the premix into your cocktail shaker containing ice, gently stirring lightly for one minute to chill. Pour into a frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, decorate with some cranberries adding the final touch using a light spray of mandarin oil above the glass.
